Twice each year, The Summit Foundation distributes grant awards to community organizations. One reception is held annually in the summer to recognize these grants, as well as scholarships awarded to high school seniors. A specific date and location for this grant and scholarship reception is determined on an annual basis.

The 2008 and 2009 grant and scholarship awards reception was held on June 25, 2009.
