Reflecting on 40 Years of Community Impact and Looking Ahead

In 2024, we proudly celebrated our 40th Anniversary as Summit County’s local community foundation. Fondly known as the “Soul of the Summit,” we’ve worked hand-in-hand with community partners to address critical issues and ensure a high quality of life for all residents.

Thanks to your incredible support over the past 40 years, The Summit Foundation has donated over $53 million to our community. Together, we have built a legacy of collaboration, sustainability, and impact that makes this beautiful place a thriving home for everyone.

As part of our 40th Anniversary celebration, we hosted three signature fundraising events, raising an extraordinary $2.1 million in honor of this milestone. These funds have been dedicated to launching the Bright Futures Fund, a transformational initiative aimed at:

• Elevating scholarships for low-income students to attend college.
• Investing in the future of our workforce by creating career pathways to local jobs.
