The Summit Foundation is excited to begin an annual fall application for Event | Marketing Sponsorships. This new opportunity is for nonprofits with marketing-focused sponsorships of community events that bring people together.
Eligible events will showcase the good work nonprofits are accomplishing in the community which align with the Summit Foundation's focus areas and include marketing benefits that increase the visibility of the Foundation.
Timeline:
- Application Period: October 1 – October 24, 2025
- Committee Review: November 5, 2025
- Awards Announced: November 2025
📌 Important:
- This application only for events that include sponsorships with marketing benefits.

- The Summit Foundation does not seek Title or Presenting Sponsorships.
- Sponsorship requests should include a clear outline of marketing/awareness benefits, as well as any tickets, tables, and/or seats if they are part of the package.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for sponsorship, applicants must:
- Be a nonprofit organization or have a qualified fiscal sponsor.
- Priority will be given to events in Summit County, but events in neighboring communities with a Summit County audience will be considered (Kremmling, Fairplay, Alma, Leadville).
- Host an event that takes place between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026
- Clearly demonstrate how the event supports at least one of our focus areas:
- Healthy & Safe Communities
- Arts & Culture
- Environmental Stewardship
- Youth Development & Education
- Offer recognition opportunities for the Foundation (logo placement, acknowledgement in program, speaking opportunity, etc.).

Funding Guidelines:

What We Fund (scope):
Marketing/visibility benefits tied to eligible community events. Aligned with our Core Values – Community, Leadership, Impact, Philanthropy, Stewardship – by partnering with organizations that enrich Summit County. Sponsorship packages may include tickets/tables/seats—please list these separately from marketing benefits.
What We Don’t Fund (exclusions):
Political campaigns/lobbying; religious events whose primary purpose is to promote a specific faith; individuals/for-profits; events where the primary beneficiary isn’t a nonprofit; retroactive requests.
