The Summit Foundation’s newest program aims to boost the capacity of the county’s nonprofits by filling what’s been identified as hole: middle-level management training.
Community programs manager Megan Adamson, a key player in the Summit Foundation Manager Leadership Series program, said this pilot program was created largely as a retention effort to encourage people to move up their organization’s ladder.
The program looks to highlight the significance of middle-level management while helping those currently in those positions build leadership skills, growth opportunities and peer connections. Adamson said based on the positive feedback her organization has gotten from participants it wants to transition the Manager Leadership Series out of the pilot phase and fully implement it as a program.
