The Summit Foundation, the Regional Champion for Colorado Gives Day and leader of the Summit Gives page, is proud to announce exceptional community support during Colorado’s annual statewide day of giving. This year, Summit County donors, businesses, and visitors contributed a combined $901,128 to benefit 83 local organizations, reinforcing the strength and generosity of our mountain community.
Across Summit County, 3,121 donors made 5,023 donations through the Colorado Gives online platform, which offers a convenient, centralized way to give to organizations throughout Colorado. The platform also makes it easy for donors to plan and manage a giving budget, whether supporting a single nonprofit or multiple causes that matter to them.
The Summit Foundation itself received $77,719 from 150 donors, helping fuel scholarships, grants, and community initiatives that support working families.
“As Regional Champion, we’re honored to elevate the missions of our local organizations and celebrate what’s possible when our community comes together,” said Ellen Reid, Executive Director of the Summit Foundation. “Colorado Gives Day demonstrates how collective giving can strengthen Summit County, and we are grateful for every donor who helped make this year such a success.”
The Summit Foundation once again hosted its annual Colorado Gives Day Rally at Outer Range Brewing Co., bringing together nonprofit partners for an evening of celebration and community-building, an important part of the Summit Gives tradition. The event highlighted the hard work, resilience, and impact of our nonprofits. Two nonprofits in attendance, Theatre Silco and Timberline Adult Day Services, won a raffle to receive an additional $500 appreciation grant for their dedicated work in the community.
This year’s rally and Colorado Gives Day promotional efforts were generously supported by iFurnish, Creative Cabinetry, FirstBank, and Outer Range Brewing Co. Their partnership played a key role in elevating the impact of Summit Gives across the community.
Colorado Gives Day takes place annually on the second Tuesday in December, but the ColoradoGives.org platform allows donors to give year-round to organizations statewide. Each contribution made through the platform supports Colorado’s broad nonprofit ecosystem and contributes to a culture of giving across the state.
