The Summit Foundation proudly announces the winners of the 2025 Philanthropy Awards, honoring those who represent the Soul of the Summit — the people whose generosity, compassion, and commitment define our mountain community. These honorees embody the Foundation’s belief that anyone can say “I am a philanthropist.” Whether through time, talent, or treasure, their actions reflect the shared spirit that makes Summit County thrive.

Join us on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Beaver Run Resort for a night of stories, celebration, and inspiration that showcase what it means to give where you live. The event is free and open to the public, with Spanish real-time translation available.

This year’s honorees represent the best of Summit County’s community spirit:

    For his tireless commitment to Summit County Rescue Group and his calm, compassionate leadership that strengthens community safety.
  • David Olbright Outstanding Youth Mentor – Dr. Kendrick Adnan
    For inspiring Summit County students to explore healthcare through hands-on mentorship, compassion, and real-world learning.
  • Outstanding Educator – Kendra Carpenter
    For transforming education through innovation, courage, and measurable impact that empowers students and teachers alike.
  • Outstanding Professional in a Nonprofit Organization – Brianne Snow
    For her visionary leadership at FIRC, expanding services and partnerships that strengthen families and foster community resilience.
  • Outstanding Business – Arapahoe Basin 
    For building bridges between education, inclusion, and outdoor access—proving that business success and community impact go hand in hand.
  • The Bob and Nancy Follett Outstanding Philanthropists – Barb and Todd Rankin
    For their leadership, generosity, and advocacy that have elevated youth, families, and community life across Summit County.
  • Spirit of the Summit Award – Bob and Nancy Follett
    For a lifetime of philanthropy, creativity, and service that enriched Summit County’s arts, education, and community spirit.

“These honorees demonstrate the heart of our community,” said Ellen Reid, Executive Director of the Summit Foundation. “They show that philanthropy isn’t just about giving—it’s about caring deeply, showing up for others, and inspiring lasting change.”

The evening will include short films and speeches to honoree’s impact and stories from those they have touched.
