The Summit Foundation is proud to honor Arapahoe Basin Ski Area as the 2025 Outstanding Business at this year’s Philanthropy Awards. From sustainability to inclusion, Arapahoe Basin continues to lead by example, showing that when a business is rooted in community, everyone finds a place to belong.

Nominated by the Oso Outdoors Project and Summit High School Ski and Snowboard Manufacturing Program, Arapahoe Basin’s partnerships reflect a deep commitment to access and education. Through collaboration with Mountain Dreamers, the resort provides bilingual instruction, equipment, and lift access that foster a culture where all members of the community can experience and enjoy the mountain landscape together. With Summit High School, students take their classroom creations to the slopes, testing the skis and snowboards they built while learning about design, innovation, and industry careers.

Arapahoe Basin’s belief in a mountain experience for everyone mirrors the Summit Foundation’s “I am a philanthropist” campaign, which champions the idea that when a community cares for one another, it creates a culture where everyone belongs. Through partnerships with local and national nonprofits that serve youth, veterans, adaptive athletes, and Pride riders, Arapahoe Basin shows that generosity can be as natural as fresh snow and as powerful as a shared day on the slopes.
