Each year, the Summit Foundation’s Philanthropy Awards honor those who define the Soul of the Summit – individuals and organizations strengthening the community through compassion and service.

This year, Brianne  Snow, executive director of the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), will be recognized as the Outstanding Professional in a Nonprofit for her transformative leadership supporting local families. For more than two decades, Snow has guided FIRC through growth and change, ensuring Summit County families have access to food, housing, parenting and mental health resources. Her ability to navigate a shifting funding landscape — always putting the community first — has kept the organization strong. Equally important,
she has nurtured her staff, building the capacity and resources needed to deliver vital services with care and consistency. “Brianne embodies what it means to lead with purpose,” said Carla Decker, a FIRC employee. “She connects people and organizations to make a bigger impact. She’s not just managing a nonprofit; she’s building a stronger community.”
