The Summit Foundation is excited to once again lead regional efforts for Colorado Gives Day 2024, an annual celebration of philanthropy that uplifts local nonprofits making a difference in Summit County and beyond. As the regional champion, the Summit Foundation is helping to highlight the work of 88 participating local organizations and rallying community support to ensure their continued success.
Colorado Gives Day, set for Tuesday, December 10, 2024, is more than a single day of giving—it's a movement to build a stronger, more connected community. By uniting donors and nonprofits, this initiative supports vital programs in the arts, environmental stewardship, youth development, and healthcare, among many others.
Supporting Nonprofits Year-Round
The giving campaign began November 1 and extends through December 10, with donations made at ColoradoGives.org/community/summitgives receiving an extra boost from a $1.4 million Incentive Fund. This means every contribution has a greater impact, helping nonprofits stretch their resources even further.
“The generosity of Summit County residents defines who we are as a community,” said Jeanne Bistranin, Summit Foundation Executive Director. “Colorado Gives Day is a chance to celebrate that spirit of giving and make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

A Legacy of Giving
In 2023, Summit County nonprofits collectively raised over $700,000 through Colorado Gives Day. This year, The Summit Foundation aims to surpass that milestone and inspire even more generosity across the region.
