The Summit Foundation proudly announces the successful conclusion of its 36th Annual Golf Tournament, an event that has become a tradition in Summit County. Held at the picturesque Breckenridge Golf Course, this year’s tournament was marked by bluebird skies, radiant sunshine, and a remarkable turnout of 144 dedicated players. These community members gathered to compete in an 18-hole scramble, vying for prize money, bragging rights, and the honor of winning their flight – all in support of the Summit Foundation and our community.

The tournament, known for its blend of friendly competition and charitable spirit, featured six flights of teams of all abilities. Among the highlights were impressive performances by rising stars Grady Millisor and Michael Dudick, who outshone seasoned golfers to win the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin on-course challenges, respectively. The day concluded with an exhilarating shootout in the rain, culminating in a victory for the D7 team, who emerged as the overall winners.

“The longstanding history of the Summit Foundation Golf Tournament always provides a beautiful day on the Town of Breckenridge Golf Course with friends old and new. I am honored to help organize this friendly competition each year and look forward to the evolutions and innovations the tournament will see in the future to assure that the event continues to bring the community together to make a difference,” said Robbins Manley, Summit Foundation Board Member.

This year's tournament holds special significance as the Summit Foundation celebrates its 40th anniversary. Reflecting on the history of the Summit Foundation Golf Tournament, which began as the Steve Watson Golf Tournament, we are reminded of the early days when locals were paired with NFL, MLB, and NHL athletes and even an astronaut. These cherished memories of mulligans and outdriving the best provide glimpses into the Summit Foundation's legacy of being the Soul of the Summit, bringing people together for a brighter future.

The Summit Foundation extends our gratitude to all the golfers for their support and enthusiasm. Their participation ensures that the proceeds from the tournament directly benefit the community through grants, scholarships, and initiatives to help Summit County thrive!

A special thank you goes out to our Event Sponsors, whose generosity and commitment made this event possible. Their support allows the Summit Foundation to continue its mission of enhancing the quality of life in Summit County.
