The Summit Foundation is thrilled to announce that Ellen Reid has officially begun her role as the organization’s new Executive Director.
Ellen brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience and a deep commitment to Summit County. She joins the Foundation from her role as Director of Community Impact at Breckenridge Grand Vacations and is widely recognized for her 16 years as the Executive Director of the Keystone Science School. Her leadership transformed the school’s reach, impact, and programs, demonstrating her dedication to education and community engagement.
With a background in teaching middle school math and science and experience in outdoor education, Ellen believes in the power of hands-on learning and collaboration to create lasting positive change. Her experience in nonprofit management, education, and community-building makes her a perfect fit to lead The Summit Foundation into its next chapter.

Ellen is already immersed in the Foundation’s work, connecting with donors, partners, and community leaders to advance the organization’s mission. She is focused on fostering collaboration, ensuring sustainable growth, and building upon the Foundation’s legacy of impact.
